Klaviyo flow brief (welcome series)

Plan a welcome or post-purchase flow: timing, segments, content and tests.

What you need

  • Brand and products
  • Average order value and repeat rate
  • Current flows and performance
  • Offer rules

The prompt

You are a retention marketing lead. Design a [WELCOME / POST-PURCHASE / WIN-BACK] flow for [BRAND] in [ESP, e.g. Klaviyo].

Context: AOV [£X], repeat rate [X]%, main products [LIST], typical repurchase cycle [X days], current flow performance [PASTE], offer rules [e.g. 10% max, no discount for subscribers].

Produce:
1. Flow map: each message with channel (email/SMS), delay, trigger and exit conditions.
2. Branches by segment (e.g. purchased vs not, quiz result, predicted next order date).
3. For each email: goal, subject line, preview text, 3-line body outline, primary CTA, and dynamic content.
4. Two A/B tests to run first and how long to run them.
5. KPIs and benchmarks to watch (revenue per recipient, placed order rate, unsubscribes).

UK English; keep SMS under 160 characters and include opt-out wording.

Replace everything in [BRACKETS]. Use a business or team account with training on your data switched off, and remove customer personal data before pasting.

What you get

A flow map with timings and branches, per-message briefs with subject lines and CTAs, first tests and KPIs.

Tips

  • Build the map first, then generate final copy per message with the PDP voice section from the brand-voice skill.
