Meeting notes to actions and follow-up
Turn a transcript or rough notes into decisions, owners, dates and a follow-up email.
What you need
- Transcript or notes (e.g. from Granola)
- Attendee names and roles
- Meeting type (supplier, agency, retailer, internal)
The prompt
Here are notes/transcript from a [MEETING TYPE] meeting on [DATE] with [ATTENDEES AND ROLES]. [PASTE NOTES OR TRANSCRIPT] Produce: 1. Summary in 5 bullets (what was decided, not what was discussed). 2. Decisions made (numbered). 3. Action table: Action | Owner | Due date | Dependency. If no owner or date was agreed, write "TBC" and flag it. 4. Open questions and risks. 5. A follow-up email to all attendees (max 180 words, UK English, friendly and clear) restating decisions and actions. 6. Anything said that contradicts an earlier decision or a number mentioned elsewhere in the notes. Do not add actions that were not discussed.
Replace everything in [BRACKETS]. Use a business or team account with training on your data switched off, and remove customer personal data before pasting.
What you get
A crisp summary, numbered decisions, an action table with owners and dates (TBCs flagged), open risks and a ready-to-send follow-up email.
Tips
- Granola and Notion can store a template so this runs automatically after each meeting.
- Get consent before recording external calls.
